World Environment Day
Every year, World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June. This day is celebrated for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. It was first celebrated in 1974 for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. There are many huge environmental issues like wastage and losses of food, deforestation, increasing global warming and so many in the world. This day is specially celebrated to address all these issues.

Activities of Environment Day
Individuals and organizations are encouraged to add activities related to the environment for saving it. It also motivate the peoples for taking initiative toward it. Activities include street rallies and parades, as well as concerts, tree planting, and clean-up campaigns.
