Human Rights Day
On 10th December every year, Human rights day is celebrated. Universal declaration of human rights was proclaimed on 10th December. So human right day is celebrated on the anniversary of this declaration. This day was first celebrated in 1948 by the United Nations General Assembly. This day is celebrated in every country in the world.

Objectives
The main objective of celebrating this day is to calls everyone to stand up for their rights. United Nations starts that campaign that calls for people to know and push for their rights no matter where they live in the world. The theme of this day celebration is that every one of us should take a stand for their rights. People all around the world should step forward and defend their rights. Everyone in the world should have equal rights even he is a migrant or refugee, a disable person, a woman, an indigenous person, a child, a person of African descent, or anyone else at risk of discrimination or violence.

This day is also a global observance and not a public holiday. Many political conferences and meetings are arranged in different countries in the world on that day. On non-political level cultural events and exhibitions dealing with human-rights issues are arranged to aware people about their basic rights. This day is also celebrated in schools, colleges and universities to develop basic rights awareness among students of different levels.
